I created this low-poly floating island as my final project during a Cinema 4D training course at alfatraining. The project gave me the opportunity to apply the skills I had developed throughout my training and bring them together in a complete 3D environment.
I started by building the basic structure of the island before modeling and refining the individual assets. To keep the project organized, I created the assets in a separate Cinema 4D file before importing them into the main scene. This made it easier to reuse and adapt elements like trees, rocks, and plants while keeping the environment consistent. Everything was modeled using a low-poly workflow, with a focus on clean shapes and simple geometry. Once the environment was complete, I experimented with materials, lighting, and camera angles to give the island a soft, stylized look and emphasize its low-poly aesthetic.
